My GOLDEN birthday!

Today is my 25th birthday! My GOLDEN 25th birthday. For those of you who don’t know what a golden birthday is, it’s when the day of your birth matches the amount of years old you are. I am turning 25 on the 25th, therefore it’s my golden birthday! :) People who are in my life know that I am… passionate about birthdays. They have always been important to me, the celebration of my own as well as celebrating the birthdays of those close to me! I think it’s pretty amazing that we have a day once a year to tell people, “I’m so happy you’re HERE! And I’m thankful you were BORN!” It’s even right there in the name of it, “Happy BIRTH day!” …what a beautiful thing! Birthdays are a time to feel loved and special… and that’s why they are so important to me, because I LOVE to feel loved and special! After all, don’t we all?! :)

I celebrated my birthday last week with some of my closest friends! The theme was GOLD for my GOLDEN birthday of course! :) Gold photo backdrop, gold nails, gold decorations…. gold everything! I have to admit, I love planning parties more than I love executing them! Planning everything and thinking of ideas was easy, but making them come to life, not so easy, haha. I did my best with an amazing family who helped me decorate, and I was pretty pleased with the outcome. It definitely wasn’t an amazingly, beautiful and huge party, but my best friends and family were there with me and that’s what made it special! :)

Oh, and I had it be a black and white party. Everyone wore black and white colors so that I could standout in PINK! Cause you have to stand out on your birthday, right?! ;)

Gold tissue flowers, gold beads, spray painted gold jars, gold wrapping paper as tablecloths, and whatever gold decoration is in that glass jar! :)

For my 21st birthday, I had my friends sign letters just like these ones that spelled “Leah” so this time, I decided to use my middle name! :)

I made that deer painting a few months ago and brought it out to decorate because it couldn’t hurt to use more GOLD, even if it’s random! Haha.

I’m sad I didn’t get a better photo of the gold records hanging from the trees, but you can see them in this photo! There were about 25 of them hanging all over! :) These are all the girls chatting and eating and the men were at the table behind us. :)

I bought these lights just for the party and now I’m in LOVE with them! Don’t mind the sheets hanging up that were hung up to support the gold backdrop for the photo area. But we ended up having to change the photo spot altogether because a huge dust and wind storm came through my backyard about 4 hours from my party. It blew things off the table, tore some of the gold records off the trees and ripped through my photo backdrop. I cried. But my amazing family helped put everything back where it was before all that silly wind! :)

The picture on the right makes me laugh because I am holding the purple mask backwards… haha. I guess that means I was having such a good time that I wasn’t even paying attention to what I was doing! ;)

Here’s all of us! We obviously didn’t have enough room for everyone in front of the gold, so we had to spread it out a little farther! I am so thankful for this amazing group of family and friends and also for all my friends who are special to me that couldn’t make it! I am SO BLESSED! :)
