let's be friends!
I'm a photographer and educator based in Scottsdale, Arizona! Giving joyful people laughter filled and stress free photos and helping photographers turn their dream to grow their business into a plan that actually works!
It breaks my heart a little every time I turn down doing photography for a wedding. I’ve been interested in experimenting with wedding photography, but right now it isn’t something I want to venture into. I think it looks like a great idea, I think wedding photography is beautiful, and maybe someday I will see where it takes me, but I love where my business is right now and I’m just not quite ready to take that step yet. However, I do like doing shoots that have to do with a wedding, haha. I love engagement sessions and trash the dress, and now I love day after shoots! If you don’t know what a day after shoot is, let me tell you about it. It’s a shoot the day after the wedding in the bride and groom’s wedding attire, but it’s in a new locations and with a more casual feel to it. The shoot is meant to provide more photos for the couple on a day where they aren’t stressing or nervous. It’s also beautiful because at this point, they’re newly married, and that’s a special thing to capture!
Not only was this my first day after shoot, but it was my first desert shoot. I know, crazy, right?! I live in Phoenix, the desert, and for the past 2 years I’ve managed to not to one single desert shoot. Since I’ve lived here my whole life, I haven’t been too crazy about the desert look, so I would purposefully try to shoot in locations that were more green nature filled, with grass instead of rocks and dirt. Now after having my first desert shoot, I’ve realized that I actually do enjoy shooting here. It’s different, and maybe not the picturesque version of beautiful nature, but it’s fun to switch it up! And I absolutely loved walking around The Boulders Resort with this gorgeous newly married couple!
I'd love to hear from you!
