let's be friends!
I'm a photographer and educator based in Scottsdale, Arizona! Giving joyful people laughter filled and stress free photos and helping photographers turn their dream to grow their business into a plan that actually works!
For those who are just joining in on the natural beauty project blog posts, I’m going to be sharing the same words from my previous blog posts so you can catch up! ;)
Welcome back to the Natural Beauty Project: From the Inside Out! I am BEYOND excited to share photos of absolutely BEAUTIFUL girls from the inside out! These girls are choosing to embrace their natural beauty and find their confidence in WHO they are! I’m so thankful to have so many BRAVE girls who wanted to be a part of this project of mine! :)
One of my favorite things about taking these photos was the fact that I saw each and every girl for who they are. I honestly look at every single photo that I took and think to myself how BEAUTIFUL these girls are! Because you will find what you look for. Look for the beauty in these girls, in yourself, in your neighbor… in LIFE and you will find it! :) And if you look at these photos and the photos of the rest of the girls and look for their flaws instead of their beauty… then I feel sorry for you. But I still want you to know that you are beautiful! And I hope that someday you choose to not focus on your flaws and the flaws of others, but to embrace them, knowing that YOU ARE ENOUGH exactly the way that you are! :)
With each blog post and set of photos, I’ll also be sharing some words from the girls with their NATURAL beauty photos! These girls are makeup free with their natural hair, unless stated otherwise! :) Some had long answers for my questions and some had answers with just a few words. And it’s all okay, because there is no right way to do this, there is no right way to be vulnerable. There is only your way! :) *The only reoccurring thing that most likely is not natural in most of the girls you will be seeing is an unnatural hair color. But the way the hair dries, that is natural unless sated otherwise! :)

A: Ashley Nicole Diekman
Q: What makes you beautiful?
A: My easy going, spunky personality
Q: Describe what a beautiful act is to you?
A: A beautiful act is making someone else feel loved
Q: What inspired you to start truly loving yourself?
A: My son was a turning stone to start truly loving myself, so that I can be an example. There is always a starting point!
Q: What is your favorite thing about yourself?
A: My best quality is my fearless approach to the impossible. I think everything is possible no matter what people say.
Q: What is something that the world might see as a flaw on you, but you find it beautiful?
A: I refuse to make habits, life is to short to live anything twice.
Q: Full name?
A: Kelsea Jo Miller
Q: What is beauty to you?
A: Beauty to me is your attitude toward the people around you. Being kind to people who aren’t kind to you. Being patient when it is difficult to be patient. And LOVING people even when they are the most difficult people to love. Trying your best to love them as God has loved you.
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote about being confident or loving yourself or being yourself or beauty?
A: “Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious” – 1 Peter 3:3-4
Q: If you could go back and tell your 12 year old self one thing, what would you tell her?
A: If I could tell my 12 year old self anything it would be to not worry if you are different from everybody else. Embrace the difference and be who you were created to be. Its okay to think and have different beliefs than everybody else around you, you were made to standout not to live small.
Q: What is your favorite thing about yourself?
A: My favorite thing about myself is I don’t let the patterns of this world or “what everybody else is doing” affect who I am or what I believe is right. I try my best to live for only the eyes of God and not worry about the opinions of anybody else.
Q: Full name?
A: Sydney Paige
Q: What is beauty to you?
A: Beauty is found in different ways, different places. Nature is beautiful to me, compassion is beautiful. Some people are what we consider ‘naturally beautifully’ but really it’s all in the eye of the beholder. And outside beauty means nothing if the inside doesn’t match. How quickly do our opinions of attractive/beautiful people change when we see their true, unkind nature?
Q: Describe what a beautiful act is to you?
A: I think listeners are one of the most beautiful people. Watch a listener as they sit beside a friend or stranger, their eyes attentive, their head nodding in response because they care to hear what the other has to say; they are perfectly content to listen and be there in that moment for others. That is beautiful.
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote about being confident or loving yourself or being yourself or beauty?
A: I came across a very blunt but eye-opening statement: “If you live off a man’s compliments, you’ll die from his criticism.” – Cornelius Lindsay.
Q: What is something that the world might see as a flaw on you, but you find it beautiful?
A: I have this flesh-colored mole on the middle of my forehead. I was picked on in school because of the mole and came to hate it, even to the point of asking my mom to get it removed. She didn’t let me get it removed, saying to wait until I was older, and good thing. What I was once ridiculed for (and by boys which made me feel even less attractive) I’ve come to see and accept as a beauty mark; a unique thing about my face that gives character versus just having a regular smooth perfect forehead.
I'd love to hear from you!
