Wisdom Wednesday | Ch.21

Having faith is hard. Maybe it’s just me that feels that way… but I don’t think so. Believing in something you can’t see, believing in something that hasn’t yet happened, believing in something that seems impossible… it’s hard. Faith isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. It’s necessary because without it… what is the point? What am I doing everyday, what am I working towards, what am I aiming for if it’s not something that requires faith? If faith isn’t necessary, I can’t imagine the result would be rewarding. But when we are finally able to muster up that faith and believe in something we can’t understand, miracles happen. When we’re finally able to live by faith and not by sight, lives change. And even with faith, especially with faith, circumstances change and it often begins to feel like the weight is heavier on us. We begin to doubt and we begin to question God and His plan for us. But that’s not how faith is suppose to feel, faith is suppose to feel lighter! I love this quote because it reminds us that once we’ve decided to have faith in something… the faith is there to STAY unless we MAKE the choice to let it go, to dig it up and stop believing. Don’t dig up in doubt what you planted in FAITH.
