let's be friends!
I'm a photographer and educator based in Scottsdale, Arizona! Giving joyful people laughter filled and stress free photos and helping photographers turn their dream to grow their business into a plan that actually works!
This week’s blog post full of photos is featuring 4 beautiful girls, and two of them are children, which I am SO excited about!! Because it’s NEVER too early to start embracing your natural beauty! In fact, it’s much harder to embrace it once you’ve spent most of your life battling with insecurities. And that’s why it’s important to start telling young girls how absolutely beautiful they are now, and not simply because of what they look like (even though they are outwardly beautiful) but because of who they are and because of their heart! :)
For those who are just joining in on the natural beauty project blog posts, I’m going to be sharing the same words from my previous blog posts so you can catch up! ;)
Welcome back to the Natural Beauty Project: From the Inside Out! I am BEYOND excited to share photos of absolutely BEAUTIFUL girls from the inside out! These girls are choosing to embrace their natural beauty and find their confidence in WHO they are! I’m so thankful to have so many BRAVE girls who wanted to be a part of this project of mine! :)
One of my favorite things about taking these photos was the fact that I saw each and every girl for who they are. I honestly look at every single photo that I took and think to myself how BEAUTIFUL they are! Because you will find what you look for. Look for the beauty in these girls, in yourself, in your neighbor… in LIFE and you will find it! :) And if you look at these photos and the photos of the rest of the girls and look for their flaws instead of their beauty… then I feel sorry for you. But I still want you to know that you are beautiful! And I hope that someday you choose to not focus on your flaws and the flaws of others, but to embrace them, knowing that YOU ARE ENOUGH exactly the way that you are! :)
With each blog post and set of photos, I’ll also be sharing some words from the girls with their NATURAL beauty photos! These girls are makeup free with their natural hair, unless stated otherwise! :) Some had long answers for my questions and some had answers with just a few words. And it’s all okay, because there is no right way to do this, there is no right way to be vulnerable. There is only your way! :) *The only reoccurring thing that most likely is not natural in most of the girls you will be seeing is an unnatural hair color. But the way the hair dries, that is natural unless sated otherwise! :)
Week 1: natural beauty project: from the inside out
Week 2: from the inside out: mary, nicole and samantha
Week 3: from the inside out: courtney, perla and kristen
And now… ENJOY! :) And check back next week for MORE!! :)

Q: Full name?
A: Leah Theodosis
Q: Who is the most beautiful person you know and why?
A: My mother. She has always encouraged me to be who I am and to be proud of that. She has never asked me to be someone I am not, and has supported me during very rough times in my own life. She is constantly putting the needs of others before her own. My mother has a passionate heart for her family and will do whatever it takes to make sure her family is happy, healthy & safe. She is the best person I know and she truly is my very best friend in life. I am thankful to have such an incredible role model while growing up, as well as during my adult life. She continues to inspire me everyday.
Q: What is beauty to you?
A: Beauty to me is confidence and being okay in your skin. Of course, there are things that I don’t like about myself or wish I could change. I see women in the street and in my community who are just physically stunning; drop dead gorgeous! The type of girl that when you look at them you go, “okay, so they are so pretty! HOW?” But sometimes, those women have mean tongues and nasty personalities. I think beauty truly does come from how someone acts and treats other; how they represent themselves in the real world.
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote about being confident or loving yourself or being yourself or beauty?
A: “We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.” – Carlos Castaneda
Q: What is the best compliment you’ve ever received?
A: Anytime someone says that I am funny. It really makes me beam! I love making people smile and I love making people laugh. Someone once told me I should be on SNL. That almost made me cry!
Leah brought her pretty cousin along with her! :)

A: Giuliana Caprio

A: After somebody does my hair.
Q: What is beauty to you?
A: Somebody’s heart.
Q: Is there a song that inspires you or makes you feel beautiful?
A: Sorry by Justin Bieber.
Q: Where do you find your confidence?
A: In gymnastics.
Q: If you had the opportunity to say something to a large group of women, what would you say?
A: You look beautiful.
And this was one of my favorite things to see! This is something I truly love and admire about children! They can meet someone completely new, and within minutes, be playing with them as if they’ve known each other forever. They have the ability to become instant best friends with someone, even if just for a day, and I absolutely love that! And I’d love to have more of that in my adult life! ;)
I'd love to hear from you!
