let's be friends!
I'm a photographer and educator based in Scottsdale, Arizona! Giving joyful people laughter filled and stress free photos and helping photographers turn their dream to grow their business into a plan that actually works!
I’ve been loving adventuring to new and beautiful places during my summers! And this past summer I headed to SEATTLE!!! I knew that I would like Seattle, but I was almost positive that it wouldn’t compare to my summer last year in Portland… I was wrong! I just loved Portland so much, and I didn’t imagine I could love Seattle as much, but I really did! I love them equally for different reasons! They both make my heart so happy!! And I’m so excited to share these photos of my time in Seattle (and the surrounding areas) with you! I drove up there with my sister and brother-in-law, who stayed with me for a few days and then I was on my own for a while. It gets lonely.. but it’s also great for me. I love to spend time alone, learning new things about myself, talking with God and just filling my heart and soul with beautiful sights and moments! And then later in July, I had a friend come and visit, so I got to spend a week acting like a tourist in a city that I had already spent a month in! And I LOVED it! I have no doubt that my heart longs to live in the Pacific Northwest… but right now, my heart loves being in Phoenix, for no other reason than the fact that my family lives here. ;)
Below are photos from my personal Instagram account, where I share photos that usually aren’t the best quality but are just with people and moments that I love! And below there are cell phone photos! And some photos from my (and my sister’s) small digital camera! These aren’t professional quality by any means, but these are the photos that matter most to me! :)
Here are my Instagram posts from the start of my adventure! The drive from Phoenix to Seattle! We drove through Utah, Idaho and Oregon before getting to Washington… and made some stops along the way! ;) Below you’ll see photos from Shoshone Falls in Idaho, the “UP” house outside of Salt Lake City, the Salt Lake Temple, Bryce National Park and a few more random stops! :)
I LOVE waterfalls! There was definitely A LOT of silliness on the drive. And I’m so thankful for my brother in law who drove most of the way because of my foot injury that happened the month before leaving! And my sister drove too, so that I could just let me foot rest and heal! :) These Instagram photos start with the adorable cottage I stayed in all summer and then shows our trip to Victoria, BC! We visited the Butchart Gardens and went whale watching in a quick one night trip! :) These gardens are breath taking!! Heading to whale watching! And being silly. ;) These Instagram photos are from my adventures on my own! These are photos from my own explorations and simple moments spent in Seattle! :) I rarely ever take photos after photo shoots, usually because I don’t look the best, but I’m SO happy when I do! These photos are from my shoot with Anna! :)
And below is the only professional quality photo in this post! It’s a photo of ME! After my shoot with Vicky in her gorgeous apartment, she asked if I wanted a photo of myself wearing the amazing flower crown she made! And even though I didn’t look my best, because I never do after a shoot, haha, I said yes! Because, why not?! ;)
And then my friend Michal came into town! And I acted like a total tourist! We went to Pike Place Market, the Seattle Great Wheel, Oddfellow’s cafe, and Molly Moon’s Ice Cream where I tried to be silly and be messy with my ice cream, but soon realized that it made me look like a blood sucking vampire, since the ice cream was black raspberry… so not cute. Haha. Best macarons from Le Panier!!
SkyCity restaurant at the Space Needle to celebrate Michal’s birthday!!! The view from the Space Needle! Then I went back to Canada! This time it was to Vancouver with Michal! We went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Gastown! And I accidentally went whale watching… AGAIN. And we accidentally (seriously, a complete accident, we had no idea!) found STORYBOOKE!! The fictional town from Once Upon a Time! The Capilano Suspension Bridge! We might have stopped and gotten Boba almost every day before exploring. Haha.
Snoqualmie Falls! I visited last year, but I could never get sick of this view! :)
My last set of Instagram photos from my summer! Some more photos of the simple moments and things I enjoyed and a few photos from the drive back to Phoenix! :) I loved becoming friends will all of these girls!! On Mondays, Rose and Vicky invited me over to watch The Bachelorette, and it was SO fun!! I usually watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette with my sister, so since I was out of town, it was so great to get together with some of the sweetest girls and watch the show! And we took a few photos to document it! ;)
I'd love to hear from you!
