I’ve known this family since I was 12 years old, which was about 10 years ago. ;) Okay, fine, I’m just kidding. It’s actually been 18 years since I met Jessica in Junior High! We became fast friends then and were so close throughout high school as well! Which is why I had plenty of opportunities to meet the rest of her family at various sleepovers and parties! I always loved spending time at her house with this bunch!

A few years ago, I got to catch up with Jessica again when I took engagement photos of her and Joe! And it’s times like that, that I remind myself how grateful I am for a job that gives me the chance to reconnect with people from different times of my life!

Being able to photograph this family incredibly thoughtful and kind family together and see everyone again was such an honor! We had so much fun together and we even almost lost our lives. Okay, fine, that’s a bit dramatic. But we had a hiker nearby tell us that there was a pack of wild dogs traveling around the area. Not coyotes, wild dogs, which is much scarier. But even though we were terrified at every faint sound we heard in the distance, we finished the shoot (very quickly) and then laughed about it all once we were safe! ;)
