Mendoza | Family

This was my first photo shoot after spending 5 days in the hospital last month for a spontaneous procedure that I needed done. I will give you the short version of how my hospital stay came about. I was in the worse pain of my life, went to the emergency room, was admitted to the hospital, got multiple X-rays, cat scans and tests done, a random pocket of fluid was found in my body, they spend 5 days draining it, it was drained and then I felt better and left! They never found out what caused the fluid, which is  little concerning, haha, but I’m thankful that the problem was fixed and I’m feeling back to myself! But let’s get to the more important part of this post! ;)

I’m so thankful for this family’s patience and understanding as I navigated doing my first photo shoot shortly after my hospital stay. They made me feel at peace, even though that’s what I’m suppose to do for them! ;) They were so kind and were fine with me taking it a little easy. And I loved being able to photograph this family as a family of three! And to be able to document them telling their son that they’re soon becoming a family of four! It was such a special and beautiful moment and I’m so grateful I was there to capture it! He wasn’t the happiest right away, but he eventually came around to the idea of being a big brother! ;)
