Allmond | Family

This session was quite the adventure! As you browse through the photos, you’ll see the drastic change of lighting that came, all within an hour period! We started this session in full sun, a great view of the mountains and a bit of wind. We end the session with no sun, dust covering the clouds and even more wind!

While I shooting this adorable family, a haboob came through our location. Yes, haboob is a funny word, but it’s also the right word for a rolling dust storm. We had about 30 minutes to shoot before we saw it rolling in. We decided we weren’t ready to be done shooting yet, so we headed to our cars while the dust storm rolled through and shot some more after the worst of it has passed. This crew handled it amazingly! Of course, there’s nothing I can do about the weather. As much as I’d love to control it, I can’t. ;) And this family was incredibly understanding, flexible and had such great attitudes as we weathered the storm (haha..) and made the most of the situation we had! And I’m so grateful for that!
