let's be friends!
I'm a photographer and educator based in Scottsdale, Arizona! Giving joyful people laughter filled and stress free photos and helping photographers turn their dream to grow their business into a plan that actually works!
For those who are just joining in on the natural beauty project blog posts, I’m going to be sharing the same words from my previous blog posts so you can catch up! ;)
Welcome back to the Natural Beauty Project: From the Inside Out! I am BEYOND excited to share photos of absolutely BEAUTIFUL girls from the inside out! These girls are choosing to embrace their natural beauty and find their confidence in WHO they are! I’m so thankful to have so many BRAVE girls who wanted to be a part of this project of mine! :)
One of my favorite things about taking these photos was the fact that I saw each and every girl for who they are. I honestly look at every single photo that I took and think to myself how BEAUTIFUL these girls are! Because you will find what you look for. Look for the beauty in these girls, in yourself, in your neighbor… in LIFE and you will find it! :) And if you look at these photos and the photos of the rest of the girls and look for their flaws instead of their beauty… then I feel sorry for you. But I still want you to know that you are beautiful! And I hope that someday you choose to not focus on your flaws and the flaws of others, but to embrace them, knowing that YOU ARE ENOUGH exactly the way that you are! :)
With each blog post and set of photos, I’ll also be sharing some words from the girls with their NATURAL beauty photos! These girls are makeup free with their natural hair, unless stated otherwise! :) Some had long answers for my questions and some had answers with just a few words. And it’s all okay, because there is no right way to do this, there is no right way to be vulnerable. There is only your way! :) *The only reoccurring thing that most likely is not natural in most of the girls you will be seeing is an unnatural hair color. But the way the hair dries, that is natural unless sated otherwise! :)

Q: Full name?
A: Jeannine Lane
Q: What is beauty to you?
A: Beauty is the real you. Whether your smiling and laughing or talking passionately about a struggle and allowing a tear to run down your face. Beauty is allowing the real you to shine through. Whether you snort when you laugh, turn red when you get embarrassed or don’t have a “pretty” cry face. You being you is beautiful, let you fully shine through. I think confidence plays into that and having no shame to be who you are, without worrying about perceptions.
Q: What inspired you to start truly loving yourself?
A: When I left my marriage of 5 years myself worth had been diminished and I felt unlovable. In a time of trying to rebuild and running on adrenaline, I was more confident and loved who I was. This feeling slowly passed as I went into a grieving phase. I remembered the confident me, the me who was flirty, carefree, owned a room; yet she was out of my grasp. Over the last 3 years I have fought to battle my inner demons that tell me I am not pretty, that no one will love me and that I’m nothing but a paper pusher. I am beautiful because I have a beautiful, caring soul. I am kind hearted. I am funny and witty. I’m a good cook. I’m creative. I’m a good listener and give good advice. I still have to remind myself of these things sometimes but I am these things and will continue to be the woman I strive to be.
Q: What makes you beautiful?
A: My freckles. Which is funny because I wanted to get rid of them as a kid. I would take lemon and try to lighten them. I use to hope I would get super tan one day and they would blend away. Lady Bird Johnson once told me my freckles were to behold and to not let anyone tell me to get rid of them. I came to love them after those words. It makes me unique and me.
Q: If you had the opportunity to say something to a large group of women, what would you say?
A: Know your value. Do you realize how valuable you are and how worthy you are to be treated as such? You are amazing. You are one of a kind. Your are stunningly beautiful. Never let someone not treat you as such. Never let someone tell you, you are not with their words, actions or impressions. You are simply incredible. You are like no one else. You are an honor to know. You are a gift to this world. You deserve to be treated as such. Never forget this. Never let this thought waiver. You are a gem. You sparkle. Don’t let anyone ever dull your sparkle.
Q: Full name?
A: Heather Lingelbach
*Heather has eyelash extensions, aside from that and dyed hair like most of her girls, she is completely natural! :)
Q: Who is the most beautiful person you know and why?
A: I don’t have one person, I have several. My best friends and my sisters, they are who they are with no regrets and have confidence in that. We can agree or disagree and still be loving friends. We often help each other think differently. They accept who they are. That confidence makes them beautiful.
Q: When do you feel most beautiful?
A: After a good nights rest, playing with my kids, or seeing the love in my husbands eyes as he looks at me.
Q: What is beauty to you?
A: Confidence.
Q: Describe what a beautiful act is to you?
A: Serving another.
Q: When did you start truly loving yourself?
A: Around the time I was 16 I decided that how God made me was perfect for me and no matter what others thought I was happy knowing I was complete in Him.
Heather brought her ADORABLE and beautiful daughter Genesis! She’s a bit too young to answer most of the questions I had, but that didn’t stop me from taking photos of her sweet smile!! :)
I'd love to hear from you!
