Bre | Portraits

This shoot is the shortest shoot I’ve ever done, though, it was unintentional. I met Bre at this beautiful greenhouse in Seattle for a fashion filled shoot! She’s a wonderful blogger at XOXOBLYNN and I was thrilled about collaborating with her! :) We started shooting and after about 10 minutes, my camera decided to be done working. I tried everything I could think of to fix it, and it was just not wanting to come to back to life for this shoot. I later found out that the repairs would be close to $600, so I ended up investing in a new camera instead of repairing one that was far past warranty.
 
As someone who doesn’t shoot weddings or events, I’ve never felt the need for a back-up camera, however, this incident definitely made me think twice about that. BUT… Bre is one of the absolute sweetest people ever and she was able to just roll with the unexpected circumstances. We ended up going to dinner together to get to know each other more and make the best of it, instead of wasting our afternoon being upset about something that we couldn’t have predicted.
 
I’m thankful that we both made the choice to not let it ruin our day… AND I’m thankful that in those 10 minutes of shooting before my camera gave up, we were able to get some shots of Bre being absolutely beautiful! :)
