Favorites of 2013!

Looking back on this year, I feel like it happened in fast forward. I remember last New Year’s Eve like it was yesterday. I’m so thankful for all the experiences I’ve had this year! Living in LA for the summer was definitely such an important part of my year. Being able to explore a new city and photograph people in the new places that I explored, was so exciting for me! And I loved it! I was actually reluctant to make this post, because looking back on all my photos from the first half, even the first 75% of this year… I sometimes cringe. I see those photos and see everything wrong with them. Not that I’m not proud of them, but I’m more proud of the fact that I can look at them and see all the ways that I’ve grown. I feel I’ve come so far as a photographer this year. I’m not AT ALL saying I’ve got it all figured out, quite the opposite actually. Seeing how much I’ve grown only reminds me how much MORE I need to learn and ALL the things I haven’t yet experienced with photography and ALL the things I need to continue to GROW in. I hope I never stop learning. I hope I never get comfortable. I hope I’m always moving forward and never standing still. I hope for those things in my business, as well as in my personal life. I’m so thankful for all my clients and everyone that has chose me to be their photographer. Sometimes I’m in awe of how many people have decided to have me… ME, as their photographer, it blows my mind! I am SO thankful for every single one of my clients, especially all the ones that have turned into FRIENDS. :) This year I’ve also had the opportunity to talk with so many fellow photographers! I’ve made many new photographer friends who have helped me learn and inspired me in many ways! I’ve loved 2013, it’s been such a beautiful year! And now I am SO looking forward to all the NEW and exciting things that 2014 will hold! :)

In this post, I’ve collected some of my favorite photos from the year. Some are special to me because of the artistic nature of the photo and others for the moment I was capturing. Starting at beginning of the year… all the way to last week’s shoot! :)
