Trading Places | Emily Moore Photo

Okay, I have a confession: I’m a professional photographer who (up until a couple weeks ago) has never had professional photos taken of me. Sure, I had yearbook photos taken and I admit I got glamour shots done in 6th grade, there was also the event of my sister’s wedding, but I never went outside with a photographer and had a real, authentic, photo shoot. I was never able to even take senior photos, which was devastating for me, but we just couldn’t afford it at the time, so my mom grabbed our 8 megapixel digital camera and took a photo of me by a tree in our backyard and that was my senior photo. Haha. It was sad for me then, but don’t worry, I’m over it now. ;) I’ve wanted to get photos taken of me, by myself, and me and my family for years, but have never had it come to pass! So, when my friend Emily of Emily Moore Photo came to town, we decided to do a trade photo shoot! I took photos of her and she took photos of me! We are both very use to being the ones BEHIND the camera, so being in front of it was out of both of our comfort zones. Although it was a new and unfamiliar feeling for me, I think it was good to see what all my clients feel like when they’re in front of the camera! Now I can relate to the nerves and uncomfortableness, because I definitely felt a little bit of both! Eventually I got use to it and just had FUN, cause that’s what it should be about! ;) Here are some of the photos that Emily took of me!
