Emily | Portraits

I met Emily about 4 years and I’m so thankful that I did! There are a few events that came together that put me onto the path of being a photographer and being friends with Emily is one of those events. I can honestly say, that I’m not sure I would be writing this blog post if it weren’t for her! She is a fellow photographer and when I knew her 4 years ago, she had a beautiful canon camera that she would let me mess around with. After a few times of playing with her camera, I quickly realized that I wanted a really nice camera, mostly just for documenting life, but it clearly turned into much more than that! :) Emily came into town this past week, so we met up to do a trade photo shoot! I took photos of her and she took photos of me! Neither one of us are use to being the ones in front of the camera, so it was a bit of a stretch for us both, but we had fun anyway and it was such a lovely morning! Oh, and it was my first every sunrise photo shoot. I’m now IN LOVE with the light in the morning! I’m so thankful that Emily helped me discover my passion for early morning light, but I’m sad that I’ll be losing sleep because I’ll need to have many more sunrise shoots in the future! :)

Emily is such a beautiful girl! Not only on the outside, but on the inside. She makes it her priority to always encourage and inspire others. I’m SO happy that I had the opportunity to take photos of her!
